She is the sexy blonde actress, who launched her career in famed director Barry Levinson's 1982 film Diner.
And now, 29 years later, 57-year-old Ellen Barkin is living with Levinson's 26-year-old son, Sam.
Reports have emerged that the Ocean's Thirteen star has moved her boyfriend, 31 years her junior, into her West Village townhouse in Manhattan. 
Sam is just five years older than Barkin's son Jack, and was born three years after Barkin appeared in his father's comedy-drama, back in the early Eighties.
According to reports, the couple have been quietly living together for two years and have been dating for even longer.
And despite their age gap, the relationship is said to be going strong.
'They go out, they're photographed together, they don't keep it secret,' a source told the NY Post. 'It works, but it's weird.'
The couple met three years ago, when Sam was writing the film Operation: Endgame, released last year.
Barkin then went on to produced and star in his directorial debut, Another Happy Day.
Sources have overheard Barkin saying that the relationship is serious, and that she wouldn't split with Sam until 'they roll me out in a wheelchair.' 
Barkin is currently appearing in her very first Broadway play, titled The Normal Heart.
She is touted to win a Tony Award for her role as a doctor who is plagued with Polio and attempting to help fight the aids epidemic.
Barkin was previously married to The Usual Suspects actor Gabriel Byrne, whom she has two children with, Jack Daniel, 21, and Romy Marion, 19.
The couple divorced in 1999 but are still close, with Gabriel even attending her wedding to her second husband and billionaire Revlon cosmetics mogul, Ronald Perelman.
Perelman and Barkin divorced in 2006 after almost six years of marriage. 
According to New York magazine, the marriage ended disastrously, with Barkin eventually receiving $40 million in settlement.
In 2007, Barkin sued Perelman for $3.4 million in investment funds he allegedly promised to invest in their film production company.
He was ordered to pay her $4.3 million.
