How to wear a jumpsuit... and NOT look like Tamsin Greig

You can rail against them all you like, call them Babygros for grown-ups and moan that you look like a car mechanic, but the fact remains that jumpsuits are back in fashion this season.
Nearly all of the designers included one in their collection, from YSL’s sleek black halterneck version in silk crepe to Paul & Joe’s floral cotton design.
Admittedly, they’re not the easiest thing to wear — as actress Tamsin Greig discovered at the Olivier awards — but pick the right one and they can slim and elongate the figure.

They have all the qualities of a maxi-dress (no need to shave your legs or fake tan), but with fashion cred.
Look for belted designs that will emphasise your waist and check the drape of the fabric as you want to avoid any unflattering ruching around the thighs.
Unlike a maxi, they should always be worn with heels. But avoid wide trousers which, like Tamsin’s, will make you look like Aladdin.
