Mandira and Anil Kumble movie out soon

The Mandira Bedi starrer Meerabai Not Out will finally see the light of day. The film which also stars Anil Kumble has not found any takers for the longest time and therefore was constantly facing delays. But now a source from the production house, Pritish Nandy Communications, says that they plan to capitalize on India’s recent win against Australia and release the film.
“Twice earlier we had tried to release the film but it just wasn’t the right time. But right now it’s all going good for Indian cricket and so we think this film will work very well. Plus Anil Kumble has just retired so people would love to see him on screen doing something new as well,” says the source.
The tempo in the country is quite high with India winning against Australia. Plus the country was quite moved with Kumble’s retirement and so the producers feel that they will be able to use the cricket fever to help promote their film.
“The film releases on December 5th. There are no other big films releasing on that day. You have Maharathi and Dil Kabaddi which also release on the same day. But with all three being comedies, the producers are hoping the fact that their film revolves around cricket and features Anil Kumble they will be able to pull in the audiences,” says the source.
