Rakhi Sawant & Veena Malik to add spice to the World Cup craze

The drama and spice cannot just be ignored when item girl Rakhi Sawant and Pakistani star, sexy Veena Malik come on screen. So, they were obvious choices when India TV chose 12 contestants for their unique show, ‘Big Toss’ to cash in on the World Cup Fever. The show will be shown only when India is playing. It will have 12 contestants divided into two groups. Each group will choose its favourite player from the Indian team and bet on him. The group that scores the maximum points will be declared the winner of a Honda car.
“Both of them can add a lot of drama to the show and people are interested in watching them on small screen,” explained Hemant Sharma, news editor of India TV, for choosing Rakhi and Veena for the show.
Sharma also explained why he came up with this idea of a show. “Usually, during the World Cup matches, all the news channels organize discussions with four or five experts in the studio. This concept doesn’t excite people anymore. We wanted to do something different so we zeroed in on this concept,” Sharma told.
Apart from Rakhi and Veena, the list of contestants includes cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj Singh, singers Shankar Sawhney and Ashok Masti, beautician Sylvie and RJ Simran, among others.
