Ringer: New Extended Trailer

As a Buffy fan, I am psyched to have Sarah Michelle Gellar returned to episodic television. Granted, I would love to see her in Buffy Redux, but I'll settle for Ringer. Especially since it doesn't really look like we'll have to settle for anything with Ringer, because it looks like a great new show.

After the CW's recent Upfront presentation, we posted photos and a trailer for Ringer, which will be airing in the fall on Tuesday nights at 9:00 p.m.

Now The CW has released a three minute trailer, which gives us a lot more information about the new show. Gellar plays Bridget, a recent addict who gets clean and makes a deal with the feds: they'll drop drug-related charges against her if she agrees to testify about a murder she witnessed. Lost's Nestor Carbonell plays her FBI handler Agent Victor Machado.

Bridget also reconnects with her estranged twin sister, Siobhan (with Gellar playing both roles). While Bridget had a lot of problems in life, Siobhan went on to marry rich (with Ioan Gruffudd playing her husband Andrew Martin) and seemingly has an idyllic life. When Bridget gets worried about testifying, she decides to accept her sister's invitation to join her in New York City.

But things are not what they seem. One day, Siobhan disappears and Bridget thinks she killed herself. In her panic, Bridget decides to assume her sister's identity and step into her life. But she realizes that Siobhan's life was not as perfect as she thought. As it turns out, there's a hit on Siobhan's life and Bridget is caught in the crossfire after assuming her identity.

Below is a new three minute extended trailer for Ringer. The show looks great. Mysterious and dark. There are also two additional sneak peeks that were recently released.
