Pink is serious about animal rights. So serious, she once refused to perform for the British royal family, citing their traditional fox hunts as reason enough to stay far away. So when she got word of pink horses being filmed on the shores of Malibu, she took action.
"If there are any animal activists around Malibu- at Leo Cabrillo State Beach, there are horses being painted for a stupid music video. Shame," she tweeted. She continued, "Artists should be more aware and responsible for their actions."
It didn't take long for anyone to figure out those pink horses were being used in a shoot for Selena Gomez's new music video. Nor did it take long for underage Gomez fans to unleash harsh words at Pink via Twitter. The several-months-pregnant singer reiterated, "whether u r a fan of mine or whomEVER'S, i won't stop speaking out about animal cruelty.i've taken responsibility in the past,so should she."
Gomez's rep insists that the horses were airbrushed with a non-toxic, vegetable-based powder paint that's completely harmless.
