Veena Malik ko Bharti Narri ka thappar ... Rakhi Sawant Veena Malik Fight in Bigg Toss

Salman and Ranbir's friendship goes sour due to Katrina

Salman Khan takes it out on Ranbir Kapoor on the work front

Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor used to be friends. Not only has that friendship soured, with the repercussions now being seen on the professional front.

Says a source, "There are hushed whispers in the industry that SK is sending feelers to his producer friends like Bhushan Kumar and Sajid Nadiadwala not to cast RK for their films."

Whether the producers heed Sallu's request is yet to be seen. But one reckons Khan won't let Kapoor get away with his "indiscretion".

A source sheds light on the indiscretion. "It all began when the Katrina Kaif-RK affair started. But Sallu refused to believe there was any truth to it.

Ranbir's recent statement to a news channel that he was never dating Kat irked Khan. It is believed that this has hurt Kaif.

Salman might not be with the actress anymore but he is still protective of her and cannot see her upset. He neither forgives nor forgets. He has decided to teach the youngster a lesson."

NEW, PLEASE

The buzz is that Ranbir wants to steer clear of Katrina for a while. He's been recommending newcomers and is more than willing to work with fresh faces. Both Rockstar and Burfi have Nargis Fakhri and Ileana D'Cruz who make their debut in Bollywood.

OLD LINKS

A few years ago, Salman had a fight with Ranbir Kapoor at a nightspot. But it was a case of letting bygones be bygones after RK made his debut in Saawariya which also starred Khan. Sallu considered him to be a pal. But this equation has now changed.

Happy Birthday ... Bollywood actress Lara Dutta has turned 33 today

MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Lara Dutta has turned 33 today. Life has always been pleasurable for Lara but her wedding in February has lent an added happiness.

The actress has recently tied the knot with Tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi.

Lara was born in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh to a Punjabi father and an Anglo-Indian mother. She also has two older sisters, one of whom serves in the Indian Air Force and a well known younger sister.

Lara graduated in economics with a minor in communications from the University of Mumbai. She was crowned Miss Universe in 2000.

Kareena Gives preference to work rather than relationship.

Bollywood size-zero diva Kareena Kapoor is a thorough professional, who gives preference to work rather than relationship.
Apparently, Bebo has decided to shoot for Aamir`s flick rather than wrapping-up beau Saif`s ‘Agent Vinod’
for she had already given all her dates for Reema Kagti`s film, starring Aamir Khan.
Even as the actress is quite busy until June 2011, Kareena has some important action scenes pending for ‘Agent Vinod’.
Talking to a daily, a source said, “Kareena has allotted her dates in April, May and June to Reema Kagti`s film, with Aamir Khan and Rani Mukherji. Despite the fact that ‘Agent Vinod’ has been delayed many times over for various reasons and now is in its last stage of production.”
“Most of the shooting is over. But there are still songs and sequences that require VFX. And yes, a schedule with Kareena is pending. But she`s busy with another film. So, we`ll just have to wait,” added the source.
One wonders why Kareena gave priority to ‘Agent Vinod’ over Reema Kagti`s flick, to which Sriram quickly came to the actress defence, “She was committed to the other film from some time. But that`s okay. Saif and I will be busy with other scenes until she becomes free. I also have a couple of visual-effects scenes to put into place.”

Sonakshi Sinha the most searched Indian celebrities on the web

Actor Salman Khan and newcomer Sonakshi Sinha have been named the most searched Indian celebrities on the web in a new survey.
Salman beat action star Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgan in the survey carried across the metros as well as
tier-II and tier-III cities. Bollywood heartthrobs Ranbir Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor wrapped up the top five.
She might be one-film old, but Sonakshi came ahead of the likes of Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif to be
the most searched celebrity on the internet among the female brigade.

Sonakshi made her debut with blockbuster “Dabangg” alongside Salman Khan and will now be seen with Akshay in Shirish Kunder’s “Joker” and in ” Dabangg 2″.
Priyanka came second and Sonam Kapoor followed at the third slot. Aishwarya Rai and Katrina Kaif landed at the fourth and fifth spots in the survey.

Anything for money SRK to go topless if KKR reaches IPL final

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan says he will take off his shirt, a'la Sourav Ganguly, to show off his six-pack abs if his Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team reaches the Indian Premier League (IPL) final this year.

"If we reach the final at Chennai, I will take off my shirt, fluff it in the air, and show my six pack abs... or may be eight pack abs," Shah Rukh said at the Eden Gardens Sunday, after KKR won their third match on the trot with an eight-wicket decimation of Rajasthan Royals.

The final is slated to be played at the Chepauk Ground in Chennai.

In 2002, after winning the Natwest Trophy final against England, then Indian skipper Ganguly had celebrated by taking off his shirt and waving it in the air from the Lords balcony.

Ganguly was criticised by the English, but he retorted saying he was only returning the same act performed by English all-rounder Andrew Flintoff during a series in India.

Ganguly, who has featured in the KKR side in all the past three editions of IPL, was not considered for the team this year.

bye forever kat ... Kangana and Salman's very late-night meetings

Kangna Ranaut drops in to meet good friend Salman Khan at a late-night shoot; stays on till the wee hours of the morning

Salman Khan had an unexpected visitor while shooting for Bodyguard on Wednesday night it wasn't SRK, it was Kangna Ranaut!

Apparently, Kangs was out with friends around midnight and made an impromptu detour to meet Salman when she heard that he was shooting at Filmistan Studios.

Four hours

She was seen waiting patiently and chatted with Khan's friends and brother-in-law, producer, Atul Agnihotri. Sallu joined them soon after. Ranaut was on the sets for around four hours and was later spotted leaving in Khan's car.

Their dosti is around a year old. Kangna was to act in Salman's home production directed by Mahesh Manjrekar but script changes got the film shelved.

Kangna was the only actress who attended Salman's wrap-up party at his Panvel farmhouse. Kangna, Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn even made a special appearance for Salman's Ready, at the actor's request during the film's Bangkok schedule.

While there had been reports of Somy Ali and Salman re-establishing their relationship in Bangkok, Sallu and Kangna's midnight rendezvous appears to have put to rest any doubts regarding this special dosti in B-Town!

The two are single and eligible. Watch this space to see where this friendship goes.

SAL HELPS OUT

On February 18, we reported ('With a little help from SK') that Sal had helped Kangs market Tanu Weds Manu at her insistence.

The Dabangg star had advised her on how to go about it. He even called the channel heads of Colors and Sony to drum support for the film on the channel's daily soaps and reality shows.

KEEPIN' CLOSE

On August 16, 2010 ('Kangna in the Khan clan?'), we told you how B-Town was abuzz about the growing dosti between Salman and the Ranaut girl. The two were slowly but surely becoming close and everyone was talking about it, with the bonding being discussed at dinner parties in star homes

Same place, same pose... but two very different stories: Why Kate and William's official photo points to a happier future than Charles and Di

The echoes of a Royal wedding from an earlier era are difficult to ignore.
The backdrop is the same: the opulent red-and-gold decor of the grand Throne Room at Buckingham Palace. And the mischievous smiles on the faces of some of the bridesmaids and page boys – and endearingly bewildered expressions on the others – are strikingly similar.
But, 30 years after the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer, the official wedding picture of Prince William and Kate Middleton also reflects the differences between the two couples' relationships.

The photograph of Charles and Diana, taken by Patrick Lichfield, seemed to capture a moment of spontaneous informality, with the wedding party collapsing in a fit of giggles. But, as we now know, the warmth was not reflected in the marriage itself.
By contrast, Kate and William's picture, by photographer Hugo Burnand, appears more formal, despite little Tom Pettifer's insistence on leaning in as close to the bride as possible.

Yet it is the small touches that are most telling. In Lichfield's picture, Charles looks curiously detached, but Kate and William's togetherness is plain to see.

Despite the organised nature of their shot, they look relaxed, their smiles unforced, and her hand rests on his knee.
Mario Testino may have received praise for his engagement portraits of William and Kate, but their choice of Hugo Burnand to take their official wedding pictures has cemented the latter's status as the Royal Family's favourite photographer.
Mr Burnand, 47, has been entrusted with capturing many of the Royals' most important occasions in recent years, including Prince Charles's 60th birthday and his marriage to Camilla. He has also won the respect of the Queen and Princes William and Harry after taking their pictures on previous occasions.

The noise and crowds were a bit too much for Grace van Cutsem on the balcony, but the photographer said she was adorable and knew how to pose for pictures (pictured right with Eliza Lopes)
An Old Harrovian and seasoned society photographer known for his charm and discretion, as well as his talent for portraits, Mr Burnand represents a more traditional choice than Mr Testino, who is famed for his glossy celebrity and fashion photoshoots.
However, Mr Burnand has photographed his share of A-listers, including Bill Clinton, President Mikhail Gorbachev, Baroness Thatcher, Victoria Beckham and Michael Jackson. He was also responsible for taking the pictures at the 1996 wedding of David and Samantha Cameron.
The Royal Wedding commission was a major coup for the London-based father of four, who has worked at Tatler magazine since 1993.
Yesterday, he described it as 'the gig of the century', adding: 'It was amazing, incredible, and there were a couple of moments where I did pinch myself.'
Of the mood in the Throne Room, he said: 'From where I was, and from their point of view, it was two families coming together and that was the feeling – the sense of family and love going between everyone.'
He described the happy couple as 'just so nice as individuals and as a pair', and revealed that Kate, who has worked as a photographer for her parents' company Party Pieces, had contributed her own ideas for the pictures.
Mr Burnand got to know Prince William when he photographed him on his polo pony and at Windsor Castle as part of the wedding party for his father's second marriage in 2005.
He shares with the Prince a tragedy in his past: he, too, lost his mother in a car accident. Susan Gordon died in 1964, the year after he was born.
His stepmother Ursy Burnand, whom his father Peter married in 1967, is also a photographer – and was one of his assistants on the Royal Wedding shoot.
Born in Cannes, France, Mr Burnand won his first photography competition at the age of seven, at Cheam School, which was also attended by Prince Philip and Prince Charles.
During his time at Harrow, he became the school's unofficial photographer, taking portraits of school-leavers.
He did not become a professional photographer until 1991, after a string of jobs including stable hand and insurance broker.
THE PHOTOGRAPHER AND HOW HE PREPARED FOR THE BIG DAY

Hugo Burnand, the official wedding photographer
Mr Burnand spent months preparing for the wedding.
He was accompanied by assistants including his mother, photographer Ursy Burnand, 71, who he says is an invaluable member of the team.
As well as cameras, spares and spares of spares, the team were carrying extensive lighting and computing equipment.
They were also using stopwatches to ensure perfect timing.
Mr Burnand has photographed everyone from Spike Milligan to Michael Jackson and former prime minister Lady Thatcher.
He was commissioned to photograph the marriage of the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall in 2005 and the wedding of David and Samantha Cameron in 1996.
Charles also asked him to take the birthday image which marked his 60th year in 2008.
Mr Burnand, 47, who has four children with wife Louisa, has also taken pictures of William and Prince Harry and the Queen.
He has been a photographer for Tatler magazine since 1993.
He has had an interest in cameras since he was a young boy and learned to develop his films and make prints using a makeshift darkroom in his family's kitchen.
The old Harrovian, based in Notting Hill, west London, said: 'I never really got nervous. You almost go into another zone when it's happening.'

Did Kate's Mum help to choose something special for the trousseau?

In her traditional ivory wedding gown, Kate Middleton looked every inch the demure bride.

But in the Berkshire town of Hungerford, the talk on Friday was not just of her beautiful Sarah Burton dress – but what she might have been wearing underneath.

For a fortnight ago, as she made her final wedding preparations, Kate spent an afternoon buying lingerie with her mother and sister in a local shop.

Kate, her sister Pippa and mother Carole, spent an afternoon having a private fitting in Angela Knight Lingerie in the Berkshire town of Hungerford (the shop sells Myla underwear pictured above)
The trio had a private fitting in Angela Knight Lingerie on April 16, while two protection officers waited outside.
Miss Knight, who owns the business, refused to disclose the exact items bought by the bride, but revealed she, Carole and Pippa bought ‘sets of lingerie’.
When asked if their purchases may have been part of their trousseau – the set of clothes a bride-to-be buys for her wedding day and married life – Miss Knight laughed coyly. But last week, a package labelled with the shop’s name was delivered to the Middletons’ home 16 miles away in Bucklebury.
Kate’s mother Carole has been a customer of Miss Knight’s for years.

Was Kate's lingerie purchase a fortnight ago part of the trousseau - the set of clothes a bride-to-be buys for her wedding day and married life?
‘When the Middletons came in, I just acted normally even though I had no prior warning they were coming,’ said Miss Knight, who closed the business for the afternoon so the family could browse in private.
‘I think of my shop as a theatre so for me, it worked very well to invite our future Queen into
that theatre.’

Miss Knight, a 46-year-old mother of five, admitted she made a slight faux pas with her high-profile customer.
‘I have a plastic frog which I show to customers and ask them to kiss, saying it will turn their boyfriends and husbands into a prince,’ she said.
‘I asked Kate to kiss the frog but didn’t realise the implications of what I had said until it was too late.
‘I thought to myself, “Oh well, she is marrying a prince anyway” and tried to gloss over it. Kate just laughed.’
Yesterday, Miss Knight gave a hint of her association with the bride when she posted on the company’s Facebook page: ‘Congratulations to Kate and Will! xxx.’
