The Doctor looks stunned as he struggles in the beam of light, while the Astronaut continues to hit him with the light.
And it could be that the scenes are actually the last time we see Smith as the doctor.
Writer Steven Moffat has already told viewers that one of the main Tardis castmembers will be killed in the first 20 minutes of the show when it begins tonight.

Referring to the series premiere episode, entitled The Impossible Astronaut, Moffat said: 'We’ve been dark before in Doctor Who. But we’re coming in from the dark side just because we haven’t done it that way before.'
The first show of the new series will also see the terrifying Silence monsters make an appearance, killing randomly, and are sure to terrify even the hardiest of the show's fans.
Moffat added: 'I think The Silence are one of the scariest monsters. I love that they've been working since the dawn of time to make The Doctor come unstuck.'
