Having kept quiet since the very public argument ten days ago, Chantelle Houghton has finally broken her silence since breaking up with Crimewatch presenter Rav Wilding.
As she opened her new boutique Vardo by Chantelle, in Essex yesterday, she almost broke down in tears as she recalled the bust-up.
Speaking to the Mirror, she said: 'You give six months of your life to someone – you don’t expect this treatment. Everyone could see it was aggressive. I’ve had such a horrible week – it’s been the toughest of my life.
'For a girl, especially, it’s been horrible. No girl wants to go through this. I find it really painful to talk about. I’m hurt - and I don’t feel good at the moment.'
The former Celebrity Big Brother star looked stunning in a plunging black dress as she launched the clothes shop, but failed to raise a smile for the cameras.
Although she desperately tried to put on a brave face, the Daily Star reported that the 27-year-old frequently wiped back tears and fled to the back of the shop to compose herself.
Speaking to the paper, she added: 'The whole business has been very stressful. At one point I was close to getting on a flight and going to New York. I wanted to escape it all, start a new life.
'Then I thought that even though it’s been the week from hell I have to put on a brave face - and my family have been really supportive.'
But the show had to go on for the heartbroken blonde who, despite her glum face, said she was pleased it was up and running - and despite recent events, has not given up on love and becoming a mother one day.
She said: 'I am so glad the shop is finally open – I eventually want to open 10.
'I want to make fashion for sophisticated women. I would even like to design for babies one day. I would love to have a baby myself, eventually.'
Vardo Boutique will be selling a range of men's and women's clothing, jewellery and accessories including labels such as Forever Unique and Arrogant Cat.

However, until now, Chantelle remained resolutely silent about the split, tweeting fans only to reassure them she was coping after the split.
She wrote on her Twitter page: 'Had an awful week thanks for all ur support x'
Shortly before the split, Chantelle spoke candidly about her relationship with Rav, admitting she struggles to cope with the frequent arguments the couple had.
She said: 'We have little rows - Rav finds it really hard that I've been married before. It doesn't anger me but I don't like someone wanting to change my past because I wouldn't change it for anything - I don't regret any of it.'
